In his budget speech, the Chancellor has identified a £2.4 billion saving by withdrawing troops from Afghanistan earlier that originally planned. George Osborne in his budget speech this afternoon re emphasised the pay freeze for Armed Forces personnel earning £21K or more and £250 for those earning below this threshold.
